Stoke City are pondering a bid for Senegalese striker Moussa Konate, The Sun has revealed.

The 19-year-old largely impressed at the Men’s Football Tournament at the 2012 Olympics and is likely to win the top goalscorer award despite Senegal crashing out in the quarter-finals.

Konate has scoring goals for fun at the Summer Games, having netted no less than 5 times in just 4 appearances for the Lions of Teranga.

The highly rated forward plays his football at Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Israeli giants now have a great chance to cash in on their star player.

Konate has attracted a lot of attention with his performances for the Senegal Olympic side and The Sun understands Stoke City are leading the race for the player’s signature.

The talented winger only joined Maccabi last summer, but enjoyed a good start to his career in Israel, scoring 5 goals in 29 league games for the club.
