Liverpool youngster Suso has revealed that he has rejected a number of offers from other clubs in order to fight for his place at Anfield.
The 19-year-old, who joined the Merseyside club in 2010 from Cadiz, made 20 appearances under Brendan Rodgers in 2012-13 but saw his involvement wane toward the end of the season.
Despite that, the Spaniard is eager to stay at Liverpool in order to continue vying for a place in Rodgers’ first-team plans.
“This year for me has been beyond fantastic,” Suso told Marca. “At Liverpool this season has been great and I’m very happy.
“Next year I’ll probably stay at Liverpool. I know there are quite a few offers but I will not go. I’m happy at Liverpool.”
Suso has a combined total of 24 caps for Spain at various age groups below senior level, but did not make the Under-21 squad for the European Championships in Israel.
The playmaker signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool in October 2012.
