Gabriel Tamas will miss West Brom’s next three matches after accepting a suspension for elbowing Norwich’s James Vaughan.

Tamas caught Vaughan with an elbow in stoppage time in the Baggies’ 1-0 win at Carrow Road on Sunday.

Vaughan, who was flattened with blood coming from his mouth after the clash, was taken to hospital suffering from a serious facial injury.

The Romanian went unpunished at the time, but the FA retrospectively charged him with violent conduct, and the 27-year-old has chosen not to contest his punishment.

Tamas, 27, has started all four EPL matches for West Brom this season, and will now miss West Brom’s next two league games, against Swansea and Fulham, and their Carling Cup third-round fixture against Everton.
