Tello up for grabs, says agent

Barcelona’s Cristian Tello is a transfer target for numerous clubs throughout Europe, according to the striker’s agent.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season in the 2011-12 campaign for Barcelona, scoring six goals to date including a double in his side’s 7-1 demolition of Champions League last-16 opponents Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.

However, having featured in just 10 games, his immediate future has been shrouded in doubt, and his agent Josep Maria Orobitg only served to fuel the speculation further by claiming a number of clubs throughout the continent have made an approach to acquire the player’s services.

“I have received interest from clubs in England, Portugal and other European countries, but his future is not yet clear,” Orobitg told Tuttomercatoweb.

Tello, a former Espanyol youth player and Spain Under-21 international has a contract with Barcelona until June 2013, and was also previously linked to Premier League outfits Arsenal and Liverpool.
