Looking to extend on what has been a very impressive unbeaten run in the West, Toronto will make the trip to a struggling Nippert Stadium in the early hours of Sunday.

Starting with the hosts, putting in yet another very worrying display in their 3-1 loss away at Dallas last weekend, Cincinnati have all but secured a wooden spoon finish in the Eastern Conference. Now sat 12 points adrift at the foot of the table, new boss Ron Jans is yet to pick up a single victory since taking over last month and has now seen his side lose their last three matches on the bounce. A huge part of their continued issues in their debut MLS campaign has come down to some glaring defensive issues. With no side in either the East or the West holding a worse defensive record, Cincinnati have now shipped two or more goals in each of their last eight outings.

As for the guests, while Toronto may have been disappointed to have only secured a point away at New England last weekend, Greg Vanney’s men are enjoying a six-match unbeaten run that stems back to the 3rd of August. With their sights firmly set on securing a play-off spot in the West, one man who has continued to spearhead their top-seven charge is former Premier League striker, Jozy Altidore. Toronto’s leading man has 10 MLS goals to his name and should be looking to capitalize on Cincintatti’s glaring issues. With Toronto picking up a 2-1 win when the two sides last met back in July, we’re backing a similar result this weekend.
