Tottenham Hotspur could bid for Chelsea player Trevoh Chalobah

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Trevoh Chalobah from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that the Blues are planning to offload a number of their players, and one among them is Chalobah, who can operate as a centre-back or as a defensive midfielder.

The report has noted that Tottenham “hold interest in Chalobah” and could be tempted to make a bid for him. Spurs head coach “Ange Postecoglou is very keen” on adding a new centre-back to his squad for the second half of the season and beyond.

Chalobah has been on the books of Chelsea since 2007. The Englishman has failed to establish himself as a regular in the Blues’ first team and does not seem to be in the plans of head coach Mauricio Pochettino. Chelsea are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
