Roma could be without star men Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi for Monday’s Serie A clash with Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico.

According to widespread reports in Italy, both players sat out training on Tuesday after picking up injuries in the previous day’s session.

Totti is believed to be struggling with a thigh strain, while De Rossi was consigned to the sidelines by a heel problem.

Veteran forward Totti had been in doubt for last Saturday’s victory over Palermo due to the same problem, but he lasted the full 90 minutes at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.

Miralem Pjanic, who missed the trip to Sicily with a thigh strain sustained in the derby defeat to Lazio on March 4, sat out training once again on Tuesday.

Aleandro Rosi did feature after recovering from a minor knee complaint.

Roma are sixth in Serie A, eight points better off than 13th-placed Genoa.
