Still enduring their worst run of form in recent memory, a struggling Marseille side will welcome Bordeaux to the Orange Vélodrome on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of another very worrying display in their 2-1 loss away at Reims last weekend, the pressure is really on Rudi Garcia. Now seeing his side freefall down to 10th in the table, the mood at the Orange Vélodrome is the worst in recent memory. With a 1-0 win over relegation contenders Caen their only victory in their last 13 attempts, the Blues have now picked up just a single victory since the end of November. More worrying for Garcia, his star-studded Marseille side have now failed to win any of their last six matches on home soil.

As for the visitors, coming off the back of a pair of defeats against Strasbourg in both Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France last week, Éric Bedouet should see Tuesday as the perfect chance to climb back into the top half of the table. However, if Les Girondins are to pull off a shock European push in the second half of the season, then Tuesday’s visitors will need to improve on their form away from the Stade Matmut-Atlantique. Bedouet’s side have now lost four of their last five matches on the road, a run that stems back to the middle of December. Given Bordeaux’s struggles on the road, coupled with Marseille’s well-publicized issues of late, we’re backing a low scoring encounter on Tuesday.
