Bayern Munich’s Japanese teenager Takashi Usami has pressed his case for more game time after scoring all five goals in a friendly on Sunday.

Usami found the back of the net five times in Bayern’s 5-0 friendly win over ASPIRE Academy Under-19s during the club’s winter training camp in Qatar.

The 19-year-old, who joined Bayern on loan from Gamba Osaka in June, has only managed three senior appearances for the German giants in his first six months at the club.

However, Usami made a statement during their training camp clash on Sunday, with five goals in a 19-minute burst after Nils Petersen, Franck Ribery, Mario Gomez and Danijel Pranjic had all spurned earlier chances.

“I feel really good about being in Munich, although I’d be delighted at a little more playing time,” Usami told the club’s website.

Usami’s goals in the match of two 30-minute halves, came in the 38th, 41st, 43rd, 48th and 57th minutes.

Bayern Munich do not return to Bundesliga action until January 21, when they travel to Borussia Moenchengladbach.
