Marca is reporting that Valencia have stepped up chase for Celta Vigo winger Fabian Orellana.
The Sky Blues are ready to offload the Chilean in the January window after he clashed with head coach Eduardo Berizzo and los Che have emerged as favourites for his signature.
Even though Orellana has offers from Trabzonspor and Espanyol, the winger prefers to move to Mestalla, and the two clubs are currently negotiating the transfer fee.
While Celta hope to get €4 million for the 31-year-old footballer, Valencia plan to start the bidding at €1.5 million, knowing all too well that the Sky Blues are desperate to get rid of the Chile international before the January transfer window comes to an end.
Capped 31 times by Chile, Orellana has so far represented Audax Italiano, Udinese, Xerez, Granada and Celta Vigo, bagging a total of 19 La Liga goals and another 21 in Spain’s second division.
