Mark van Bommel has praised the Netherlands saying they would make short work of the likes of AC Milan, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Bert van Marwijk’s team are much-fancied favourites to win Euro 2012 after an impressive qualifying campaign, finishing top of Group E with nine wins from ten games.

With the likes of Robin van Persie, Wesley Sneijder and Rafael van der Vaart in their line-up, the veteran midfielder feels the Oranje would beat the Clasico sides, if the opportunity ever arose.

“I think that this Dutch team, but only at full strength, would beat dominant club teams like FC Barcelona and Real Madrid,” the 34-year-old told Voetbal magazine.

Van Bommel was also full of praise for the training methods of the country, and feels that his national team is better prepared than his club side.

“The training methods of the Oranje are better than those of AC Milan,” he said.

Netherlands have been drawn in Group B of Euro 2012 with Germany, Portugal and Denmark.
