Norwich City’s record signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel says he will realise a childhood ambition by playing in the Premier League.
The Dutchman moved to Carrow Road for a fee in the region of £8.5million from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.
And the 24-year-old told how he had grown up watching the Premier League and is itching to play in England’s top-flight.
“(I have dreamed about it) since I was a young child,” he told Sky Sports News.
“I started watching on Saturday on Dutch television, after I had played my own football.
“I watched the English Premier League and from that moment I knew this was a competition I wanted to play in.”
Van Wolfswinkel notched his first goal for the club in a 1-1 friendly draw with Spanish outfit Real Sociedad on Tuesday.
He will look to make his competitive bow when Norwich host Everton in their opening Premier League fixture on August 17.
