Vidic expecting Moyes success

Nemanja Vidic has revealed his admiration for incoming Manchester United manager David Moyes and hopes his reign will be a successful one.

The Serbian defender moved to Old Trafford in 2006 and has won multiple trophies under the stewardship of Alex Ferguson, who Moyes is set to replace in July.

Vidic is in little doubt as to the credentials of the Everton boss and is expecting the 50-year-old to inspire the Premier League champions to further glory.
He told the club’s official website: “David Moyes did a great job with Everton. I’m looking forward to working with David and I believe I will have the same success I had with Sir Alex.
“He (Moyes) is the man who gets his players to work hard and show discipline. He did that well with Everton because in the last few years they’ve been successful in getting into the top six.
“David and Sir Alex share some similarities – they are very passionate, they are both winners and you can see the way they approach the games and how they run things.”
Moyes has spent 11 years in charge at Goodison Park but is now set to take the reins at United after Ferguson announced his decision to retire following a 27-year-spell with United, in which he guided them to 38 major honours.
