Villarreal keen on Sander Berge

Estadio Deportivo has learned that Villarreal have joined the chase for Genk midfielder Sander Berge.

The 20-year-old has largely impressed since joining the Belgian outfit from Valerenga, making a total of 31 league appearances.

Sevilla and Real Betis were the first top sides to show interest in his services and latest reports suggest Villarreal are in the mix as well.

The Yellow Submarine are almost certain to cash in on Atletico Madrid bound Rodri in the summer and they see Berge as a good long-term replacement.

The problem is that Genk want between €10m and €15m for their star player, so it remains to be seen whether the two sides will eventually find an agreement.
