AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has stated that he was happy with his team’s performance in the 2-0 Serie A win over Genoa.
The Sweden international scored from the penalty spot at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris to give the visitors the lead, before Antonio Nocerino sealed the victory for Massimiliano Allegri’s men.
The three points lift the Giuseppe Meazza side to the top of the Serie A standings, and the ex-Barcelona man feels that his team are on the right track.
“We scored only in the second half, but we did very well in the first half also,” Ibrahimovic told Sky Sport Italia.
“We are doing well away from home, scoring goals and playing great. We will be difficult to stop.”
The Scandinavian forward also stated that he is pleased with the freedom given to him by his coach, and is glad that Robinho is fit and able to partner him up front.
“I’m satisfied, I like having freedom on the field and the coach gives me that,” the 30-year-old added.
“Robinho is a great player as well as a beautiful person.”
