Alex Song talks up Premiership return

Barcelona midfielder Alex Song has added fuel to speculations linking him with a summer move to English Premier League.

The Cameroon star has been linked with England’s top clubs as he reportedly ponders Camp Nou exit, and it appears there is some truth in those rumours.

Alex Song has moved to confirm that he will be returning to the Premier League when he decides to leave the Catalans.

“I will return to England, that’s for sure. If I leave Barcelona one day, it will be to move to England,” Song confessed to beIN Sport.

Everything suggests the experienced midfielders is going to quit Camp Nou in the summer given that he is unhappy at the lack of playing time and club officials are planning a major squad overhaul.

Song never quite managed to nail down a regular starting berth at Barcelona, but he is, nonetheless, held in high regard by top European clubs.

His former club Arsenal, priced at 10/1 to defeat Bayern Munich tomorrow, are reportedly ready to try and lure the player back to the Emirates.
