Centre-back Fernando Amorebieta has used Twitter to deny suggestions he has fallen out with Athletic Bilbao coach Marcelo Bielsa.
The 27-year-old was at fault when Athletic suffered an embarrassing away goals defeat to second division outfit Eibar in the Copa del Rey.
Having lost his place in the team to French 18-year-old Aymeric Laporte, Amorebieta posted on the social media site to dismiss the rumours.
“I write this tweet to clarify that this information is totally false,” Amorebieta wrote.
“I have not had any problems with my coach.”
Former Argentina and Chile coach Bielsa has come under scrutiny following Athletic’s sharp decline in form this season, while secret recordings of the 57-year-old’s team talks have also been leaked to the press.
