Paris Saint-Germain’s 4-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb proved their Ligue 1 loss to St-Etienne was a one-off, according to Carlo Ancelotti.

Ligue 1 side PSG dispatched Dinamo with ease in the Champions League match at the Parc de Princes on Tuesday, with star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic providing the assist for all four goals.

Ancelotti was buoyed by his side’s response after their shock league defeat against Saint-Etienne on Saturday, the coach insisting that result was a rare slip.

“It was a very good game. The reaction tonight showed that the match against Saint-Etienne was an accident,” he said.

Alex opened the scoring after 16 minutes, before Blaise Matuidi, Jeremy Menez and substitute Guillaume Hoarau all found the net to keep up the pressure on Porto at the top of the group.

Goal-scorer Matuidi praised his team-mates for the improvement they showed in the second half following a slow start.

“In the first half, we did not do the right things even if we started well. We entered the game wrong,” the midfielder told the UEFA website.

“At half-time the coach had put things in place, and we went ahead with intensity. Tonight, we saw a beautiful Paris (team) in the second half. We’re now in a position to go through. That was the aim.”

PSG sit second in Group A , a point behind leaders Porto. Next up they face domestic champions Montpellier in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
