Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti is aware of the dangers his team could face in their Ligue 1 clash against Saint-Etienne.
The club from the French capital sit top of the league with a three-point lead over Toulouse and are unbeaten in 10 Ligue 1 matches.
Ancelotti said he was not worried about the clash on Saturday, but insisted his team were mindful of the threats Christophe Galtier’s men would pose.
“We cannot say that we are afraid, but we respect Saint-Etienne. This is a good team, in good form at the moment, who have a lot of quality going forward,” the Italian told reporters on Friday.
“This will be a good game for us to follow up our good performances and stay at the top of Ligue 1.”
Ancelotti said his side needed to be careful about being hit on the counter-attack and spoke about the quality of Saint-Etienne forwards Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Brandao.
“We should not try to figure it out. We must play our game and show character and personality. We must continue to play and progress to pick up maximum points,” he said.
“We must pay attention to their counter-attacks and certain players like Aubameyang or Brandao, who have the experience and give them great depth.
“As a team, they play beautiful football, so I’m expecting a great match. Of course we’ll be on our guard defensively.
“But anyway, every team that has come here has played a dynamic game. This will probably be the case again.”
