Andreazzoli hails ´top-class´ Roma strikeforce

Roma caretaker boss Aurelio Andreazzoli has hailed his striking options after a Pablo Osvaldo hat-trick helped them to a 4-0 win over Siena.

The Italy international has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico in recent weeks, with Tottenham thought to be keen on a move but he showed fantastic predatory instincts to help his side jump up to fifth in the Serie A table.

The capital club have netted 68 goals in the league this season, more than any other side, and the 59-year-old called on his side to maintain their goalscoring form until the end of the campaign to ensure a lofty league finish.

“The numbers don’t lie and they say that we’ve got a top-class front line,” he said.

“Now we want to improve our league position and keep increasing our points average. We’ll do everything we can to keep producing the goods until the end.”

Andreazzoli was delighted with Osvaldo’s performance against the relegation-threatened Tuscans, but conceded he would have no say in keeping the Argentine-born player at the club for next season.

“He [Osvaldo] had a great game and deserved his hat-trick,” he added.

“He’s an excellent player and he’s shown that lots of times. He’s scored 15 goals this season and some top-drawer ones too.

“I’m not thinking about his future now and I don’t know if I’ll be asked for my opinion anyway.”
