Arsenal given Cech boost

The Telegraph understands that Arsenal have been given a boost in their hopes to sign Petr Cech, with the goalkeeper admitting that he is keen to stay in London after leaving Chelsea.

The Gunners have long been linked with a move for the thirty-three year old, who set to call time on his eleven year stay at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the shot-stopper as they look for potential replacements for David De Gea, who could be set for a return to Spain with Real Madrid though Cech’s revelations make Arsenal the front runners in the race to secure his services.

In over a decade in England, Czech Republic international Cech has played four hundred and eighty-five times for the Blues, and has won a whole host of major honours including four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, the Europa League and the Champions League.
