Atalanta sign Robin Gosens

Serie A high-flyers Atalanta have announced the signing of Dutch midfielder Robin Goosens from Heracles on their official website.

The 22-year-old has joined Orobici on a two-year deal with an option for further two years.

“Robin Gosens has moved from the Eredivisie to the Italian Serie A,” the statement read.

“Heracles Almelo and Atalanta have agreed on a transfer for the defender, who has signed a two-year contract with an option for another two.”

Robin Gosens had come through the youth ranks at Vitesse, and he moved to Heracles Almelo in 2015 after impressing during the loan spell with FC Dodrecht.

The talented midfielder has since made 63 Eredivisie appearances for his new club, scoring 4 goals, and he clearly did enough to secure a move to Atalanta.

Orobici could see several star players leave after a largely impressive campaign and they aim to be prepared for every eventuality.
