Tuttosport is reporting that La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are readying a big money proposal for Torino star Alessio Cerci.
The same source has suggested that los Colchoneros are prepared to offer around €16 million for the Italy international, which is not too far away from club’s €20 million asking price.
As a result, Torino might be ready to do a deal with the La Liga side, in which case they will make a move on Abel Hernandez or Ruben Botta.
Atletico Madrid have already signed Mario Mandzukic and Antoine Griezmann, and they believe Cerci would be the final piece of the puzzle.
The AS Roma graduate has exploded onto the big stage while at Torino, scoring 13 goals and producing 10 assists last season alone.
He missed a late penalty in the final game of the season against Fiorentina that looked to have cost Granata Europa League qualification, but the club were eventually awarded European berth as Parma were banned from taking part.
