La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are readying summer bid for Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann, reports Marca.
Los Colchoneros are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements after seeing a number of key players leave and they appear to have made the France international their primary target.
And while the player himself wants to leave Anoeta for a big European club, Real Sociedad are not prepared to lower their €30 million asking price.
This means that Atletico will have to match the player’s release clause if they are to get their man and nobody would be surprised if los Colchoneros decide to splash out on the highly rated footballer.
Griezmann was in stunning form last season, having bagged 16 goals in 35 La Liga outings, before impressing for France at the 2014 World Cup.
The 23-year-old featured in five matches for les Bleus at the tournament finals and proved he has what it takes to play at the highest level.
