Barcelona keen on Gremio’s Arthur

Catalan newspaper Sport claims that Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Gremio starlet Arthur.

The central midfielder has impressed on the road to the Copa Libertadores final, where his side hold a 1-0 advantage ahead of the final return leg against Lanus.

Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez was in Brazil last week to make a check on his target, and the Catalans could soon step up their interest.

According to reports, Barcelona officials are disappointed to have missed out on Gabriel Jesus and Vinicius Junior, and they plan to make things right with Arthur.

The 21-year-old made a total of 27 league appearances last term, scoring 1 goal, while he featured in 11 Copa Libertadores matches.
