Spanish champions Barcelona are reportedly set to make a substantial proposal for Paris Saint-Germain hotshot Marquinhos, according to L’Equipe.
It is no secret that the Brazilian has long been on club’s radar and the Catalans now look set to reignite their interest.
Despite adding Samuel Umtiti to their ranks in the summer, Barcelona hope to sign Marquinhos in the January transfer window and could offer around €60 million for his services.
The highly rated defender is reportedly excited about the prospect of moving to Camp Nou, especially since he is not too happy about his status at Parc des Princes.
Marquinhos has finally become a first team regular after David Luiz returned to Chelsea, but it remains to be seen whether he is ready to pledge his long-term future to the Saints.
After hammering Celtic 7-0, Barcelona take on Leganes tomorrow afternoon and they can be backed at 2/11 to claim maximum points.
