Former England captain David Beckham said on Friday he is excited ahead of AC Milan’s visit of Juventus on Sunday.
It will be the first time that Beckham comes up against Juve since joining Milan in January.
“It’s quite simply a vital match, an historica match that I’ve been waiting for since I came here,” he told Mediaset, the television channel owned by Milan president Silvio Berlusconi.
“It’s always exciting to play against Juve, I did it with Manchester United and with Real Madrid and I’m sure there will be an incredible atmosphere.
“It’s also important for us to win to hold onto second place.”
Second-placed Milan lead Juve by four points with four games remaining and a victory would virtually assure them of holding onto that position.
However, Milan have the tougher run-in with matches against AS Roma and Fiorentina to come and a defeat would see Juve appear as favourites to take second spot.
