Juventus defender Medhi Benatia has likened coach Massimiliano Allegri to former boss Pep Guardiola.
Benatia has experience under both men after he was lured to Bayern Munich by then-coach Guardiola in 2014.
Now on loan at Serie A champions Juve, with an option to make the move permanent, Benatia believes Allegri and Manchester City manager Guardiola have similar philosophies.
“Allegri asks many of the same things from us that Guardiola did at Bayern. Both Coaches want you to always take an attacking approach and command the initiative,” Benatia told Sky Italia following Juve’s 2-1 win over Udinese on Saturday.
“If it’s 0-0 on home turf, you have to take risks to break through.
“Allegri is a guarantee for us and I’m very happy here.”
