Bendtner set for Bundesliga switch

Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner is reportedly on the verge of joining Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg, Bild has revealed.

The 26-year-old has been without a club since his deal at the Emirates expired in June but that could soon change as the experienced forward is currently in talks with Wolfsburg.

The Wolves decided to turn towards the Denmark international after missing out on several high-profile strikers and they appear set to add Bendtner to their ranks.

Nicklas Bendtner has spent his entire professional career up to date as an Arsenal player, albeit enjoying loan spells with Birmingham City, Sunderland and Juventus.

The Dane never quite managed to prove his worth in North London, scoring just 24 goals in 106 Premier League appearances.

His suitors Wolfsburg face a tough task at the start of the new Bundesliga campaign seeing as how they play reigning champions Bayern Munich at Alianz Arena, where they are 10/1 to claim maximum points.
