Tottenham secured a 2-1 win over Polish side Wisla Krakow in the UEFA Cup on Wednesday.

The Londoners needed 33 minutes to take the lead, as David Bentley converted a cross from Aaron Lennon.

But while the home fans celebrated their side’s goal, the Poles reacted with an immediate equaliser from Tomas Jirsak.

Spurs will go into the second leg with a 2-1 advantage though, as Darren Bent headed home from a Fraizer Campbell cross in the 73rd minute.

The win comes at a good moment for Tottenham, who hadn’t won any of their four previous matches this season.
