The agent of Dimitar Berbatov has revealed the Fulham striker is attracting interest from Russian clubs.
The Bulgarian has scored 13 goals in 25 Premier League appearances this season after joining Martin Jol’s side from Manchester United last August.
And the player’s representative, Emil Danchev, said that clubs who were beaten to his client’s signature by Fulham are still keen on a move.
“I have heard of interest in Berbatov from Russian clubs in the past and I still hear of them today,” Danchev told Izvestia.
Danchev also suggested Berbatov could be tempted by a move to Russia due to the growing status of the country’s Premier League competition.
“The Russian league is growing seriously and should soon become one of the leading championships in Europe so to play in that country would be interesting,” he added.
“Of course, much will depend on the decision of the Fulham hierarchy but, at the moment, I do not know of any formal offers.”
