Bolton are said to become the latest club to join the battle for Celtic midfielder Scott Brown after launching a £7 million bid for the star.
However, Bolton boss Gary Megson will have to fight off competition from the likes of Everton and Tottenham if he is to land the Scottish international in January.
Megson told press: “Its going to be a really important window for us as we need to keep the momentum going.”
“Since I arrived at the club there has been a huge of amount of players leaving and we’re still trying to replace them.
“There was a huge amount that needed changing but we didn’t have the finance to do it quickly.
“We hope to make some good signings in January to push the club forward and help it progress.”
Megson is said tobe looking for a midfielder in the January transfer window after injury ruled out Sean Davis for the rest of the season.
