Brentford 5/6 to beat Ipswich in Tuesdays Championship matchup

Competition: Championship

Market: Brentford win

Odds: 5/6 @ Bet 365

With a chance to leapfrog to top of the Championship table, Dean Smith’s Brentford side will look to make it four wins on the bounce when they travel to a struggling Ipswich side on Tuesday.

Starting with Paul Hurst’s side, although he may have guided Shrewsbury to the League One play-off final last season, Ipswich are drastically short of form this year. Coming off the back of a very disappointing 2-0 loss away at Hull over the weekend, The Blues are still looking for their first win of the season and find themselves bottom of the table after seven games. It will also be their form at home that is worrying Hurst. Tuesday’s hosts have now only won one of their last 12 matches at Portman Road, a run stemming back of the middle of January.

As for Dean Smith’s side, Brentford couldn’t be enjoying a better start. Now just one point behind leaders Leeds in the table, The Bees are currently on a three-match winning run. Coming off the back of a 2-0 win over newly promoted Wigan, they have only lost one game this year. If the visitors are to make it four wins on the bounce, hey will be looking for Championships top scorer Neal Maupay to carry on his very impressive start to the new campaign. The 22-year-old Frenchman scored both goals against Wigan last weekend and already has seven for the season.
