Kevin Kerr has no interest in following in the footsteps of German legends. The Arminia Bielefeld starlet was born in Germany, but is candidate for Scotland international recognition after making a stunning breakthrough with German Bundesliga. Kerr, 20-year-old, has had invitations to join the German youth set-up but he insists he wants to play for Scotland.

“I wasn’t sure people in Scotland were aware I existed,” he was quoted. “I can understand that because I have never really lived in Scotland but I am as Scottish as anyone. All my family are Scottish, so there are no choices to be made. When I was about 16 I received an invite for the Scottish national team but it got to me late. Apparently it was sent to the club but they said they didn’t receive it. Maybe they wanted me to play for Germany.”
