Spain midfielder Sergio Busquets is expected to play against Croatia on Monday despite suffering from concussion.
The Barcelona anchorman picked up the knock following a challenge from Keith Andrews during Spain’s 4-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland in Gdansk, but went on to complete the full 90 minutes.
Tests on Friday showed the 23-year-old has not incurred any bone or muscle damage, and has been given the green light to feature in the crucial Group C clash.
Vicente del Bosque’s men will take on Slaven Bilic’s Croatia, with the winner topping the group and advancing to the quarter-finals.
Should the game end in a 2-2 draw, both sides will progress at the expense of Italy, irrespective of the result Cesare Prandelli’s men achieve against Ireland.
