Premier League holders Chelsea lock horns with London rivals this weekend at Stamford Bridge in a game that could be a close game to call given recent form. The defending champions have been shaky in the English top flight this season, and an in-form Arsenal are looking to take advantage on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea have had a woeful start to the new campaign, with Jose Mourinho’s side having lost three of their last four Premier League games, and their poor results on home soil has been a real worry for the London giants.

Currently just one place above the drop zone after five games, the Blues desperately need a win to climb back up the table. They are two points clear of the bottom-three, but will risk ending the weekend in the relegation zone should they drop more beats.

Arsenal have been in much improved form in the Premier League, with the Gunners having won three and drawn one of their last four games in the division, but this is a game that has seen them come unstuck so many times in the past.

Arsene Wenger’s men would have been full of confidence ahead of the weekend clash, but suffered defeat in their midweek Champions League outing that could well see them as underdogs. Chelsea won in Europe on Wednesday night, and have some momentum against a side they boast a fantastic head-to-head record against.

Chelsea have won four and drawn three of their last seven Premier League meetings against Arsenal, who haven’t even managed a goal in their last four outings. The Blues have won five of their last six home fixtures against Arsenal, and a shift in results in Europe could see them coming out on top in the league on Saturday.
