Chelsea eyeing Davies move

Chelsea are set to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies, according to ESPN.

The Blues have struggled defensively so far, conceding eight goals in their last four games in all competitions and are looking at Burnley’s Michael Keane as the seek a long term replacement for club captain John Terry.

Davies, who plays mainly as a full back would compete with Branislav Ivanovic for a starting berth and could be set to move on after failing to hold down a regular first team spot since moving to White Hart Lane from Swansea City.

The Wales international has played for the North London time sixty-one times in all competitions but has started just twenty-five times in the Premier League.

He was part of his country’s squad for Euro 2016 appearing for them five times on route to them reaching the semi-finals of the competition.
