Chelsea join chase for Bernardeschi

Italian daily newspaper La Nazione claims that Premier League champions Chelsea are hot on the trail of Fiorentina forward Federico Bernardeschi.

Despite initially claiming he was happy to remain at Artemio Franchi, the Italy international seems to have changed his mind and he is now considering a summer exit.

After Juventus and PSG had expressed interest in his services, Chelsea have now joined the chase as well.

Antonio Conte believes that Bernardeschi would fit right in his 3-4-3 formation and the Blues manager is keen to lure the 23-year-old to Stamford Bridge.

The talented forward is the product of Fiorentina’s youth academy, and he impressed to score 11 league goals last season.

And while Viola chiefs are doing their best to keep hold of their prized possession, it is believed they are not in a position to reject a big money proposal for his services.
