He might be nearing his 33rd birthday, but Argentine striker Carlos Tevez is still drawing plenty of attention worldwide.

In a bid to lure another big-name player to the Chinese Super League, an unnamed football club from China is apparently prepared to offer the experienced Argentinean an offer that would go on to make him the world’s best paid footballer.

Having already signed record deals with the likes of Alex Teixeira, Jackson Martinez and Ramires the Chinese are now ready to offer Carlos Tevez up to €40 million per year, Yahoo Sports Brazil report via Tuttosport.

Carlos Tevez has already rejected an offer from Shaghai SIPG worth €22 million in order to stay with his club Boca Juniors, but a whopping offer which is 60% bigger than Messi and Neymar’s earnings at Barcelona could prove too good to turn down.

Tevez has played seven Primera Division games for Boca Juniors this season, scoring only one goal in the process.
