Christian Eriksen rejected Man Utd switch

London Evening Standard claims that Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen rejected the opportunity to join Manchester United in the summer.

The Red Devils ended up signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund, but they appear to have first attempted to recruit the Danish footballer.

Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid were also keen on the 24-year-old midfielder, but he eventually decided to remain at White Hart Lane.

Eriksen appears to be perfectly happy to remain with Spurs, where he has a contract until June 2020.

The attacking midfielder has been one of Tottenham’s star performers ever since he joined from Ajax, and he managed a total of 30 goals and 33 assists in 134 competitive outings for the White Hart Lane outfit.

Spurs will be hoping to mount another top 4 challenge in the Premier League this season and they are currently available at 5/4 to succeed in their quest.
