French striker Djibril Cisse wants a permanent move to Premier League side Sunderland.
Cisse is currently on loan at Sunderland from French side Marseille.
He said: “I’m starting what I couldn’t finish at Liverpool.
“When I signed with Gerard Houllier, it was to stay for a long time  but it didn’t go down well with Benitez and I had to leave to play.
“With Roy Keane, I’ve found again a manager who believes in me and wanted me. That confidence is important.
“He is straight and strict. He has a real plan to develop Sunderland and, if I’m here, it’s because I believe in him and his project.â€Â
