La Domenica Sportiva is reporting that Premier League leaders Chelsea are considering a summer bid for Juventus hotshot Claudio Marchisio.
The Blues are in the market for midfield reinforcements and it appears that manager Antonio Conte hopes to get reunited with his compatriot.
The duo worked together with great success in Turin and Conte now aims to bring Marchisio to Stamford Bridge.
The 31-year-old has more than three years left on his current contract having signed a five-year deal in July 2015, but he is no longer an undisputed starter at Juventus, having made just nine league appearances this season.
Conte hopes that Juventus will be ready to negotiate the sale in the summer transfer window, while he also needs to persuade the player to join him in London.
Claudio Marchisio has been a loyal servant to the Bianconeri since the age of 7 and he has so far featured in 279 Serie A matches, scoring 32 goals in the process.
