Danny Rose set for permanent Sunderland stay

Tottenham full-back Danny Rose looks set to remain at the Stadium of Light for the foreseeable future, reports Metro.

The 22-year-old has largely impressed at Sunderland since arriving on loan in the summer, proving he can mix it up with the best of them in England’s top flight.

With competition for places fierce at White Hart Lane, Rose could easily be staying with the Black Cats on permanent basis.

Sunderland officials are keen to hold on to the talented defender and are prepared to offer around £8 million to make his loan deal permanent.

Tottenham are unlikely to stand in the way of the player’s progress, especially as he is not in Andre Villas-Boas’ first team plans.

Danny Rose has made 24 Premier League appearances for Sunderland this season, and has played a key role in team’s latest turnaround in fortunes, producing some amazing defensive displays for the Black Cats.
