Udinese ace Antonio Di Natale admits he is delighted to be compared with Brazil legend Zico.
The Italy international has become popular amongst Udinese fans after rejecting moves to Roma and Fiorentina this summer.
Di Natale agrees that he resemble Zico a little, and told the Gazzetta dello Sport: “In certain respects I do resemble him a little bit. He is one of the all-time greats of football, so I cannot help but be overjoyed at the comparison.
“We have similar movement and in some of the ways we play with the ball at our feet. He had true artistry that I am desperately envious of. How I’d love to take free kicks like him!
“My reasoning is simple – Zico is a legend, so if they are comparing me to him it must mean I’ve done something right.
“In any case, this doesn’t weigh down on me and if anything adds further motivation. I never pull back when it’s time to take responsibility, whether good or bad.â€Â
