Dortmund keen on Norwegian starlet

Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang is reporting that Borussia Dortmund are keeping close tabs on Odd Grenland forward Rafik Zekhnini.

The 17-year-old has only recently started his debut season in the senior team, but he has already managed to leave quite an impression.

While scoring 2 goals in 4 league outings, the talented footballer was one of star performers in Odd’s 4-3 Europa League defeat to Borussia Dortmund, with Mats Hummels admitting he had been impressed with the youngster.

And it looks as though the Millionaires scouts were equally amazed by Zekhnini’s performance, and they will now continue to monitor his displays with a view of luring the winger to Signal-Iduna Park.

Zekhnini appears to have done enough to nail down a regular starting berth at Odd Grenland and Borussia Dortmund coaching staff will have another opportunity to get a closer look at the youngster when the two sides meet in the return leg next Thursday.
