Dortmund to bid for Abou Diallo

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are readying summer bid for Mainz defender Abou Diallo, according to L’Equipe.

The Millionaires plan to rejuvenate their back line as Sokratis Papastathopoulos looks set to leave, and they have now set their sights on the France Under-21 captain.

According to reports, Borussia Dortmund are set to offer around €20 million for the 22-year-old centre-back.

Mainz signed Diallo last summer in a €5 million deal from Monaco and they now have a chance to secure a hefty return on their investment.

This is all owing to some impressive showings from the central defender, who is also capable of operating at left-back and in the middle of the park.
