Holders Borussia Dortmund have been drawn away to Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal, a re-match of last season’s final.

Jurgen Klopp’s Dortmund defeated Bayern 5-2 in May to seal a league and cup double, demonstrating their recent superiority over German football’s traditional powerhouse club.

However, Bayern represent a far more challenging prospect in 2012/13 – Jupp Heynckes team have swept all before in the first half of the league season, and sit nine points clear at the top of the table going into the mid-season break.

Dortmund defeated Hannover 5-1 on Wednesday to book their place in the last eight, with the subsequent draw for the next round handing them a challenging trip to the Allianz Arena.

“My impression? My boys want to go to (the final in) Berlin,” Klopp told Sky when asked for his reaction to the draw.

“We have proven that we are in good form and we have earned the holidays now.”

The other quarter-finals will see third-tier side Kickers Offenbach host Wolfsburg, while Stuttgart entertain 2.Bundesliga club Bochum.

Freiburg travel to Mainz 05 in an all-Bundesliga clash, with the matches scheduled to be played February 26-27.
