PSV Eindhoven are two points clear on top of the Dutch Eredivisie after a 5-1 away thrashing of Heracles on Saturday.

A second-half brace to Georginio Wijnaldum helped secure the victory and provisional top spot, at least until second-placed Twente play against Feyenoord on Sunday.

Tim Matavz (23rd minute) and Jeremain Lens (35th) got PSV on their way before Everton pulled one back for Heracles on 62 minutes.

However Wijnaldum restored the two-goal buffer four minutes later and then provided for Dries Mertens on 72 minutes to put the game well out of reach.

Dutch international Wijnaldum capped off a superb display with his second goal 15 minutes from the end.

NAC Breda moved from 17th to 13th with a stunning 4-0 triumph on the road at RKC Waalwijk.

Four second-half goals to Breda grabbed their fifth win of the season as Waalwijk missed a chance to move into the top half of the standings.

ADO Den Haag conceded an 88th minute equaliser to draw 2-2 at home against Roda JC while Zwolle and Heerenveen fought out a 1-1 draw.
