Tottenham have a “really good” chance of winning the Premier League, according to midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The Denmark international moved to White Hart Lane in August from Dutch champions Ajax and starred in his debut on Saturday as Tottenham beat Norwich City 2-0.
Eriksen assisted Gylfi Sigurdsson’s 28th-minute opener and he believes a tilt at the Premier League title could be on the cards this season.
Asked what the chances were of a Spurs title challenge, the 21-year-old said: “Really good. It looks really good. It is different.
“We are in a new squad and still have to learn about everything and everybody, but like I said before, we have had a good beginning and it is pretty easy to play with such good players.”
Despite an impressive debut, which helped Tottenham bounce back from a disappointing defeat to rivals Arsenal, Eriksen admits he is not the finished article yet.
And he hopes the club’s fans can give him time to adapt to English football.
“Some players are booed in the first games and then are good,” he said.
“Hopefully the fans will not do that to me. There will be mistakes. I am 21, but I hope I will make as few mistakes as possible.”
