Everton defender moves to Fenerbahce

Everton’s Nigerian defender Joseph Yobo has moved to Turkish giants Fenerbahce on a season long loan. The deal was struck on transfer deadline day and is subject to the 29 year old passing a medical at the Istanbul outfit. Fenerbahce have the option to make the transfer permanent next summer.

Yobo started his career with Belgian outfit Standard de Liege and had a short spell at French giants Marseille before joining Everton in 2002. He has made over 250 appearances for the Toffees in all competitions in his eight year stay at Goodison Park.

Yobo is also a regular for Nigeria at international level.
